Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying and maintaining the IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced LAN/WAN and Security preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Perform approved maintenance and advanced troubleshooting for network systems, servers, workstations and printers, including software updates/patches, system access/permissions, and other routine operations
• Plan, design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure systems including Active Directory, Windows server environments, Vmware/hypervisor, Microsoft Office 365/Security/Azure, AWS, and routing, switching and firewall infrastructure
• Validate all new hardware and systems configurations to ensure compliance with TIS approved standards and guidelines
• Perform project management responsibilities including creating change control documentation, developing Project Plans, and coordinating execution of project between TIS personnel and users/sponsors
• Analyze business unit needs in order to define and document business requirements
• Provide technical support and recommendations, as requested, regarding new project impact and integration with the network
• Perform moves, adds, changes for network related equipment, workstations and cabling
• Take the lead and independently troubleshoot critical Business Applications (i.e. DealerTrack, Oracle, Office 365, etc.). Escalate as necessary to appropriate external support organization until issue resolution. Maintain regular updates with users
• Coordinate with external support organizations for systems deployment or support
• Perform initial identification, research applicability, and provide recommendations for appropriate updates and patches
• Take the lead and independently troubleshoot infrastructure related issues/applications
• Escalate as necessary to appropriate external support organization until issue resolution
• Maintain regular updates with users
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of work experience with IT infrastructure and operations tasks related to designing, building, deploying and maintaining corporate infrastructure and systems
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365/Azure and Windows operating systems
• Knowledge of various technical systems, examples include DealerTrack, AWS, SDWAN/SASE, etc.
• Powershell, Active Directory, VPN, wireless technologies, Cisco firewalls, and telecommunication systems skills
• Good written and oral communication, and customer relations skills
• Problem solver who is analytical
• Multi-tasker who is detail oriented and organized
