Assistant Process Analyst

Servco is looking for an Assistant Process Analyst to help with a variety of projects. This is an entry level position where you will learn a variety of skills around project management (Waterfall and Agile), process management and change management. These skills will be learned through education (including conferences and professional societies) and hands on involvement in projects.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and understand the skills, tools, framework and methods of: project management (Waterfall and Agile), process management, and change management.
• Provide support to project managers by helping to manage project plans (developing, updating, and tracking), including keeping the project team up to date on overdue tasks and upcoming due dates.
• Provide support to scrum masters by helping to manage backlogs, planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Support the project team by coordinating and assembling reporting documents (i.e. status reports, risk logs, issue logs, etc.).
• Provide support to process managers by mapping processes, gathering process measurements, and tracking process measurements for some amount of time after the implementation of the process.
• Create process improvements and enhancements by identifying root causes of problems, causes for unnecessary delays, manual steps that should be eliminated or automated, and finding “do over” steps, etc.
• Provide change management support by helping to evaluate the effectiveness of our change management efforts from initial stages of the project at least through the completion of implementation.
• Contribute to developing communication plans: when, what, how, and to whom communications of all sorts are needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Good understanding of how businesses operate and how the various departments within an organization work together
• Previous experience in an analytical or project management role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and proficient with analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Microsoft Access, Sharepoint, Project and Visio a plus
• Ability to multi-task
• Learning and developing through education, experience, and mentoring by process team.
• Analytical thinking
• Teamwork among Corporate Process Team and other departments
• Can work in a detailed, thorough manner (without getting trapped by minutiae)
• Any certification related to project management (Waterfall and Agile), process management, change management a plus
