We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our Hawaii Auto Retail (HAR) General Managers. This position will work closely with management to understand and establish goals for the various HAR business units and provide financial management support to the HAR operations in developing and measuring initiatives designed to assist in attaining those goals.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes for HAR business unit via close collaboration with HAR managers and Corporate FP&A Director/Hawaii Divisional lead
  • Serve as ePBCS support and maintenance for HAR planning and forecast processes, dealership financial statement hierarchy; including maintenance and continued development of the HAR forecast model
  • Provide HAR input into long term forecast process, including profit and loss, balance sheet (with capital expenditures), and cash flow
  • Provide support to the Accounting and Financial Services department (AFS) with the monthly financial close via analysis for flux meetings and serve as liaison between AFS and HAR operations to help facilitate monthly close
  • Meet internal financial reporting needs from HAR operations, including but not limited to, production and maintenance of monthly financial statements
    • Provide actual versus business plan variance and bridge analysis for monthly/quarterly updates to the management and executive committees on HAR performance and forecasts
    • Develop and present relevant metrics and analysis for HAR quarterly business review meetings
    • Support the development of solutions to meet reporting requirements provided at the divisional and business unit level.  Develop reporting and analysis for HAR management in conjunction with ePBCS BI implementation including dashboards (daily/weekly/monthly) to track business unit KPIs and other management reporting needs
    • Support HAR Division Manager with reports for Monthly Auto Status, General Managers, Parts and Service Managers and other meetings as needed
    • Assist with HAR reporting/data for Hawaii Auto Distribution Customer Service Department
    • Provide support for monthly ordering sessions for Toyota/Lexus/Subaru to Product Planning and HAR.  Includes analysis and reporting of inventory and sales (broken out by model code and color), with a goal to help streamline order management process
  • Define data needs for the above reporting, to be used in maintaining the data structure in the data warehouse.  Extracts statistical data from multiple sources and uploads to ePBCS monthly (unit sales, hours sold, CS scores).  Identifies other statistical data for use.  Works toward automating process for extracting an uploading data
    • Assist with development and management of financial systems utilized by HAR, including but not limited to DealerTrack and Axcessa
  • Lead or provide support to financial related HAR projects, e.g., streamlining and managing compensation plans, adhoc project analysis (used car initiative), streamlining Business Office work flow and processes
  • Regularly communicates with HAR managers (General Managers and department mangers) to gather information and data and provide assistance when needed. May also work with outside vendors and need to effectively communicate our needs from their platforms
  • Plan and organize work that produces clear and comprehensive reports/projects in a timely and accurate manner. Effectively and professionally communicate (reading, writing, speaking) and interact with others at all levels, specifically managers

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience; preferably with automotive retail experience
  • Experience using modern planning applications; preferably in an Oracle environment
  • Ability to communicate a vision and obtain buy-in from others
  • Extensive experience with building Excel or other models
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and business processes and gather data from a variety of systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word (intermediate); Excel (advance); PowerPoint (advance) with the ability to use pivot tables and modelling concepts
  • Dexterity with modern IT system and working knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Oracle ePBCS, BI Tools, DealerTrack, Axcessa, and other systems utilized by HAR operations
  • Ability to understand how IT systems share information
  • Ability to ensure accuracy in work, good judgment, use of discretion with confidential matters and strong written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Financial analysis skills
  • General management experience
