    Do you have an IT background? Are you passionate about technology? Servco is looking for a Director of Operational IT Planning & Support. This position will provide leadership and direction in the development and implementation of process improvement efforts through the use of technology to improve efficiency that leads to productivity gains, cost reduction and systems optimization throughout the automotive distribution organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team who will work closely with Automotive Distribution directors in interpreting business rules and requirements, identifying process change opportunities, and implementing processes/initiatives
    • Ensure the team applies business systems analysis methodologies to propose and implement initiatives
    • Identify opportunities, plan, and implement future technology and applications (ie. Oracle) to meet changing business requirements
      • Work with operations management and staff to identify user needs, then relay them to Oracle/CPT/Infosys to develop solutions
      • Understand functionality that isn’t being utilized or that is available in future releases and relate that to our business needs
    • Coordinate business unit activities of new patches and quarterly updates including release notes review and assessment and testing
      • Recommend to business unit managers suggested changes in business process, changes to Oracle configuration and / or implementation of new functionality
      • In partnership with Corporate Process Team and HR, facilitate and implement Business Process Reengineering (BPR)
      • Organize/coordinate demonstrations, training, testing, implementation and communication of all approved Oracle changes (including new Oracle releases) and the business process
      • Ensure that application bugs are identified and work with the business unit, TIS, and/or vendor to resolve. Drive service requests to a final resolution
    • Create effective ad-hoc reports using reporting/BI tools
    • Maintain forms and reports, including working with TIS and/or vendor to identify layout changes or new forms and report layouts, testing, and implementation of modifications
    • Project management responsibilities including:
      • Create detailed functional requirements based on process improvement
      • Assist with development of project plan as required
      • Create RFI/RFP
      • Partner with Change Specialist to oversee change management initiatives
      • Act as subject matter expert for project related work
    • Identify other related programs to support Oracle (eg. Regression testing)
    • Ensure timely review and resolutions of functional VSTS tickets
    • Ensure open/transparent communication channels with operations, TIS and the digital team
    • Develop relationships with SI and other related external vendors

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Services or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of previous experience in a similar position
    • Understanding of ERP systems
    • Understanding of Supply Chain process from ordering to fulfilment
    • Understanding of database applications
    • Good communication skills, orally and written
    • Experience with operational staff in SCM flows
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Understanding of database applications/administration
    • Strong team player
    • Analytical with the ability to solve problems and lead change management initiatives
    • Ability to listen and communicate with all levels of employees
