  • Overview

    Servco Pacific Inc is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Tax.  Reporting to the CFO, the VP of Corporate Tax will be a partner to operations and other shared services in matters related to corporate tax.  This position will have responsibility for tax compliance and tax planning and will continue to build a function capable of meeting the needs of a growing company and an ever-changing tax/regulatory landscape. 


    • Partner with our operations and other shared services teams in matters related to corporate tax
    • Oversee tax compliance and tax planning functions
    • Continue to build a function capable of meeting the needs of a growing company and an ever-changing tax/regulatory landscape
    • Manage and lead high performing teams
    • Stay abreast of new tax developments and consider their impacts to the company


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Tax or related field
    • CPA and/or Masters in Tax
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience, ideally in a combination of the federal tax practice of a Big 4 firm and in-house tax leadership
    • Working knowledge of US GAAP principles and deep understanding of ASC 740 and associated processes and systems
    • First-hand experience handling TCJA impacts including GILTI, BEAT, 163(j) and other significant changes impacting multinational corporations including OECD BEPS
    • Track record of identifying opportunities and putting processes in place to reduce risks
    • Understanding of multi-state considerations including Wayfair its impacts for state indirect/direct tax purposes
    • High comfort level addressing the tax aspects of M&A activity, including acquisition due diligence and integration/structuring
    • Experience in managing the tax considerations associated with cross-border transactions
    • Familiarity with Australian tax regime, including income tax, FBT, and GST
    • Working knowledge of Subchapter K and related reporting
    • Tax controversy management, including audits at the federal, state/local, and foreign levels
    • Ability to align with treasury to ensure tax aspects of movement of funds and financial instruments considered
    • Demonstrated ability to translate complex tax rules to stakeholders to facilitate decision making
    • Proven ability to communicate with and partner with different stakeholder groups (e.g., operations, audit committee, lenders, shareholders, external auditors)
    • Effective oral and written communication
    • Ability to thrive under constant change whether driven by operations or by tax legislative changes
    • Strong work ethic, and willingness to roll up sleeves to accomplish time-sensitive objectives
